I thought I would start adding some journal entries just for fun and to tell a bit of my personal story. I have always been artistic but I didn't really start to get serious about it until about five years ago. I found myself at loose ends and with lots of time on my hands for various reasons and I needed something to concentrate on. What started as a hobby to keep me busy quickly became an obsession. When I first started I was terrible. My paintings were a mess and most got thrown out. Sharing them with anyone was out of the question, but I kept practising and improving to the point where I had the courage to post some of my art on Facebook to see what my friends and family had to say. They were very supportive and soon I decided to put it out there for everyone to see on deviant art. It has been a very positive experience so far and even though I'm no where near as good as I would like to be I think I'm improving with every project.
